Stepping up the moral policing drive in hotels and restaurants to check increasing crime and violence against women in the State, volunteers of Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) burned down Loz-Boz Restaurant located at Hiyangthang for allowing school students in uniform.
The volunteers rounded up six school students in uniform at the restaurant.
Later, they were handed over to their parents after giving them advice not to indulge in immoral activities.

Talking to media persons at the head-office of DESAM, General Secretary Arambam Thoithoi said that the volunteers of DESAM had burned down the restaurant for allowing young students to carry out immoral acts.
Hotels and restaurants in the State are becoming places for unwanted activities.
Many youths including married men and women have been found indulged in immoral activities at such places.
The drive would go on to rectify such social ills, he enjoined.
