Birth Anniversary of Kh Pramodini

Imphal, January 03 2014 : Along with paying rich floral tributes, the 89th Birth Anniversary of Khaidem Pramodini was observed at Manipur Hindi Parishad here today.

Organized by Leimarol Khorjeikhol (LEIKOL), the observance was attended by Prof Elangbam Dinamani, president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad and Dr Kh Sarojini, president of LEIKOL as Chief Guest and President respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Dinamani said acknowledgement and recognition of writers has been always a steady process, even works of Kalidas and Shakespeare were appreciated much lately.

He also spoke at length on the contribution made by Kh Pramodini through her intrinsic writing.

Prof Nahakpam Aruna, Nomita Kongbantabam, Moirangthem Rajendra and Saratchand Thiyam among also among others who spoke on life and works of the late writer.
