Pre-recruitment training conducted

As a part of the continuous efforts by Assam Rifles to uplift the local community, a pre-recruitment training for Agniveer and CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) recruitment was organised for the local youths of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district.
15 aspirants from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts participated in the Phase I of pre-recruitment training while 25 aspirants took part in the phase II of the training, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.
The trainees were trained by the Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles for a period of six weeks.
The attendees of the pre-recruitment training capsule were provided with free study material, food and accommodation.
The training capsule was planned and executed in such a manner that it gave equal weightage to both academic and physical training.
Till date 16 local youths who got trained during the training capsule had registered for various competitive exams in Central Armed Police Forces and Indian Armed Forces.
The local populace, especially the youths of Tangkhul region thanked Assam Rifles for organising such relevant and meaningful activities for their welfare.
They promised to extend their wholehearted cooperation and support to the Security Forces in future.
They also pledged that they will strive hard to get enrolled into the Security Forces, added the statement.
