Nagaland CM's message on Gandhi Jayanti

Imphal, October 01 2017: "Nagaland joins the Nation on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti - the birthday of the 'Father of the Nation'- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi who sacrificed his life for good of all communities including his enemies. His ideals have always been a source of inspiration for all over the world.

The great leader believed in the principles of non-violence, courage and truth, and played a major role in obtaining freedom from British slavery.

He respected people of all religions including the Nagas who live together in harmony.

Gandhi Jayanti is also an event when the world observes as the 'International Day of Non-Violence.' Let us pay tribute meaningfully by emulating his ideals of peace, patriotism, sacrifice and non-violence.

Let his life be a message for us all to the change we wish to see in the country.
