Two fresh cases detected, one discharged

Imphal, June 01 2022:
Yet another two fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected on Wednesday out of 78 samples tested in the last 24 hours, showing a positivity rate of 2.56 per cent.
At the same time, one patient was discharged from home isolation on Wednesday as the active cases rose to 9 with the addition to two new infections.
One each of the two fresh cases is from Imphal West and Imphal East districts.
All the nine active cases are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,236 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
So far, the state has recorded 11,452 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
A total of 1728 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,70,225.Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,228 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,700 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,19,818 tests per million population against the national average of 6,05,231 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.51 per cent.
