Imphal, June 01 2014: Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) General Headquarters has deeply condoled the untimely demise of Lallen Khongsai, who in his lifetime dreamt of establishing a university for Kukis and wanted to play an exemplary role in development of Kukis in socio-politico & religious field.

In a press statement issued today, President KSO GHqs Paotinthang Lupheng said that Lallen, a student par excellence during his academic career, had studied B.SW at St.

Edmund's College in Shillong and did his masters at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and added that he was pursuing integrated M.Phil, Ph.

D on the topic, "Relevance of social work practice to social problems: A case study in social work institutes in Northeast India", when he breathed his last.

Praying for the eternal rest of his departed soul, KSO said his untimely demise is a great loss to organisation and the Kuki people.
