Senapati, April 01 2021: Extending a helping hand to fire affected families of Zhobumai (Chingmai Khunou) village, Senapati district, the Youth Brigade, IRCS, Senapati branch distributed relief materials to fire affected families.

The team was led by WS Palti, Youth Coordinator, Youth Brigade, IRCS, Senapati together with officials from the All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM).

It may be mentioned that a devastating major fire burned down 6 houses at the village on March 25.Relief materials comprising blankets, dinner sets, mosquito nets, water containers, clothes, soap, dal, sugar, tea leaf, salt, mustard oil, etc.

The relief materials were handed over to the affected families in the presence of village and youth leaders of Zhobumai village.

The Owner of the house at the site stated that their houses belonging to him and his sons were turned to ashes by the devastating fire.

He mentioned that there is no suspicion on anyone for the fire and that they are not taking up any case about the incident.

Village and youth leaders of the Zhobumai (Chingmai Khunou) village expressed gratitude to the visiting team for their assistance during their time of despair.
