Prohibition on sale, possession, bursting of firecrackers in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, October 29 2024: The District Magistrate, Tamenglong, Dr L Angshim Dangshawa has prohibited the sale, possession and use/bursting of firecrackers in the district during the celebration of the ensuing Diwali festival.

The order issued by Tamenglong DM has informed that no persons or entity or firm should engage in possession and sale of crackers and fireworks without a valid license issue by the District Magistrate of Tamenglong under Section 84 of the Explosives Rules 2008 .

It went on to inform the Superintendent of Police, Tamenglong that no temporary license for the possession and sale of crackers/fireworks have been issued by the Tamenglong DM and instructed that action to be taken against the violators.
