Imphal, October 28 2019: Senior Citizens for Society has expressed deep concerns regarding the issue of the peace talk between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) .

A statement issued by the general secretary of the association welcomed the peace talk but cautioned against any compromise to the territorial, administrative and political integrity of the State and added that the accord should not affect the composite nature of the Manipuri culture in any way.

Appealing for the State Government to be consulted as a major stake holder prior to the signing of the Naga peace agreement, it further appealed to the Central Government and the Central leadership to consider its (society) views as top priority in the interest of the people of Manipur.
