Imphal, July 28 2019: Lamshang Kendra MLA as well as Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Sorokhaibam Rajen has opined that the present situation prevailing inside the State Government is due to the fact that the present Government is made up of various political parties.

He made the claim during an enrolment drive cum distribution of NFSA ration cards which was held at Salam Mamang Leikai community hall under the aegis of BJP Lamshang Mandal today.

Speaking at the event, MLA S Rajen said that due to the formation of the State Government in coalition with other political parties as a Government could not be formed by just 21 BJP MLAs, the present situation cropped up.

As it is a coalition Government, the BJP cannot just do as it wishes, he said, urging the BJP workers and members to carry out enrolment drive on a war footing so as to ensure a sole BJP Government in the future.

The MLA continued that with the coming of the BJP led coalition Government, the relation between the hills and the valley have improved considerably, many beneficial schemes for the people have been launched.

Even Lamshang Kendra was not developed during the time of the Congress but it is a different story now, the MLA claimed.

On the other hand, BJP State Unit vice president Salam Joy (who is also in charge of president) said that the enrolment drive is being carried out with the aim of bringing a good Government in the State.

Numerous imminent party leaders as well as locals were present during the event.
