Imphal, April 28 2018: Koirouhanba Handloom and Handicraft Cooperative Society Limited, under the aegis of Office of the Development Commissioner (H) Ministry of Textiles, India, organised a one day awareness cum mobilisation camp under the theme formation of self-help groups, at Bashikhong Panthoibi bazar community hall today.

Bashikhong Zilla Parishad Imphal East, Jasowanta Chirom, Inspector, Handloom and Textiles, Th Ibeyaima Devi, Assistant Manager MRB, Kongba Branch, Th Inaotombi Singh and Assistant Director (H) MSEC, Babupara, Sanjeevkumar Singh attended the event as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

Koirouhanba Handloom and Handicraft Cooperative Society Ltd member Urikkhinbam Rakesh said that the programmes taken up by the Society are five year plans and are mainly focused on skill development.

Ministry of Textiles, provided the five year project, AHVY, to the society, with the aim of promoting and developing talent craftsmen as well as to impart proper skills so that they can properly earn their livelihood.
