5th foundation day celebrated

Radiant Public School Kwakta celebrated its 5th foundation day at its campus at Kwakta under Moirang AC in Bishnupur District today.
The function was attended by MLA Bishnupur AC Govindas Konthoujam as Chief guest, MLA Moirang AC & Govt Chip Whip P Sharatchandra Singh as President while Chairperson Kwakta Municipal Council Md Maheruddin, ex-MLA Moirang AC & Chairman School management Committee Md Heshamuddin attended the function as Guest of Honour.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief guest MLA Govindas Konthoujam expressed that every individual need to respect other individuals of different faith and follow the path of truth, love and compassion for peaceful co-existence.
He continued that every individuals are born equal with same rights to live but there are some sections of people who cannot treat other individuals of different faith with the same love and compassion while adding that the role of teacher is very important in moulding the mind of the students so that they don't differentiate people based on caste, religion, faith, colour, race and creed.
He also expressed his satisfaction on the exemplary initiative taken by Radiant Public School Kwakta in providing free education to 102 students while asserting that five students reading in Class 3 to 6 will be sponsored every year under Gojendra Trust named after his father.
As part of the function, the presidium members distributed best student award to Md Azad and handed over bicycle and citation from the side of school authority while a cash prize of Rs 5000 was presented to the said student by Chief Guest MLA Govindas Konthoujam as a mark of appreciation.
Besides, the school authority also honoured seven mothers who guided their children to receive regular education while the students also presented various programmes during the celebration.
