Imphal, November 26 2020: A 52 minute documentary film "I Rise" based on ace boxer Laishram Sarita Devi has been selected for the upcoming 9th Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival 2020 .

The documentary film is directed and cinematographed by National award winning filmmaker Borun Thokchom.

The Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival will be held at Mumbai in the first week of December.

The film is produced by Films Division, Mumbai.

It may be noted that the film has already won Best Film on sports and Best Audiography awards at the 13th Manipur State Film Awards 2020 .

The film also won the "Best Film on Woman, Outstanding Achievement Award" in the 10th Season of Tagore International Film Festival (TIFF) .
