Imphal, September 26 2019: A middle aged woman was killed after a motorcycle struck her near Malom Tuliyaima Awang Leikai area on Imphal-Churachandpur road, at around 10.50 am today.

The deceased has been identified as one Naorem (O) Tombi (56) of Sagolband Nepra Menjor Pukhri Mapal.

A source informed that the deceased was going to her maternal home for taking part in a Tarpon Utsav when she was struck by a motorcycle while getting down from an auto-rickshaw.

She succumbed to her injuries before she could be rushed to a hospital.

A case has been registered at Nambol PS and the body of the deceased was handed over to her family members after necessary post mortem.
