Local woman caught with non-local man in immoral act

In a drive against seedy restaurants, volunteers of Manipur Keithel Fambi Apunba Lup today caught a Meetei woman red-handed while indulging in immoral act with a Non-local man at Sangai restuarant located at Sajiwa Jail Lamkhai.
The woman was paraded before mediapersons during a press conference at Manipur Press Club here today.
The woman is said to be a divorcee from Heirok Part III.
She got separated from her husband, a resident of Yumnam Patlou around four months back.
The non-local man who was caught along with the woman is said to be an AR personnel belonging to the post of 33 Bn at Sehlon, Chandel.
The woman told reporters that they were having affairs for five years until she got married, but reunited after she divorced her husband.
Addressing mediapersons, President of the women's group L Memma said that women vendors took up the initiative of conducting drive against seedy restaurants in the state to tackle the problem of rising incidents of extra marital affairs in the state, which lead to family break-ups and even killing infants.
During the course of the drive, the organisation has come to know that every restaurant have separate rooms with dim light and these rooms are haven for people indulging in immoral acts and extra marital affairs, Memma said.
Finding many young girls inside such dark rooms of the restaurants has raised the suspicion in the minds of the people if there are any unmarried virgin in the state.
Moreover, it is of grave concern that many married persons are found indulging in extra marital affairs, she observed.
Taking serious note over the matter, Memma categorically stated that the restaurants owners should be held responsible for any consequences if they continue to provide secluded and dark rooms to their customers just for money.
