Locals urge to repair road

Tamenglong, November 25 2017: People of Tamenglong district have lauded the authority concerned for providing a short cut road from Rangkhung (69 kms) to IT road along NH 37, since it has decreased the Imphal to Tamenglong DHQs by 40 kms.

However, the stretch is filled with potholes and are not motorable, said Chairman of District Concern and Development Authority, Tameglong in a press release issued today.

It appealed the contractors and the authorities concerned as well as the State Govt to repair the said road within December.

It further warned to launch stringent agitation and protests if the said road is not not finished by the month of December.
