Imphal, September 25 2023:
Legal notices have been served to retired major Amit Bansal and retired major general Yash Mor on the charge of fabricating history of Manipur and showing a false history to mislead the people across the world.
The legal notices were served through High Court of Manipur advocate Aribam Gautam Sharma by JD-U Manipur general secretary Shanglakpam Preshyojit and LJP (Ram Vilas) national general secretary Wangkheirakpam Sriman Singh in connection with a YouTube Podcast titled 'Mor Talk' in its 61st episode.
Informing this to the media, Preshyojit said that the 61st episode of 'Mor Talk' podcast was broadcast live on YouTube on August 13 this year.
In the podcast, the retired army officers not only distorted the history of Manipur but also depicted Meetei community, Meetei women, state police and culture of the state in poor light to the world with various unfounded accusations.
Sriman also termed his fabricated lies as an attempt to take side with one community in the current crisis in the state and create more enmity.
He said that he had issued statement through the media to apologise for the misconduct of the self-styled defence strategist retired major Amit Bansal.
It would not be wrong to call him an instigator in the present crisis, who is adding fuel to a sensitive issue.
