Bishnupur, October 24 2019: Food Safety and Standards Enforcement officials of Bishnupur district conducted mass awareness campaigns about food safety at different places - Kumbi, Moirang, Ningthoukhong, Bisnhupur, Oinam, Keinou and Nambol etc, said a statement of the Designated Officer (Food Safety Administration) today.

The food safety drive was organised under the supervision of Y Surendro Singh, Designated Officer (Food Safety Administration) with Food Safety Officers H Premkumar Singh and S Surendro Singh in view of the coming Diwali and Ningol Chakkouba festival.

During the drives, the food business operators and public were asked to check for best before date/expiry date/use by date and sell/buy only FSSAI certified foods, said the statement.
