Imphal, December 23 2020: Imphal West and Imphal East district Police intensified security and preventive measures in their respective areas ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's scheduled visit on December 27.A team of Imphal West district police under the command of L Amarjit, Additional SP, Operations led by Inspector P Achouba cordoned and conducted house to house search operation at Ghari Awang Leikai today morning.

During the search operation around 150 houses were thoroughly checked and residents were verified.

No one was detained.

On the other hand, Imphal East district police commandos conducted random frisking and checking under the command of M Roni Additional SP Operation at the southern side of Hapta Kangjeibung today morning.

The police team also searched around 50 houses and verified more than 150 residents.

Further the same team verified those who were present near Advance hospital and its surrounding areas in the evening as well.
