Imphal,July 23 2015: Joint Action Committee against the brutal killing of Thokchom Rabina and Chungkham Sanjit and Working Committee of the ApunbaLupon Thursday jointly observed the 6th death anniversary of Rabina and Sanjit at Lamyanba Sanglen, Palace Compound.

Coordinators of Apunba Lup Ayekpam Langdon Leima, Phulindro Konsam and Sunil Karam, President Poirei LeimarolL Memchoubi, President AMKIL Ph Sakhi, President KanglameiY Leirik Leima attended the observance as presidium members.

It is unfortunate that state police which are meant to protect civilians and state properties are killing innocent people.

Insurgents in Manipur are not asking for separatism from India but have been demanding restoration of independence that India had taken, but they have been simply killing without proper trial, said one of the presidium members while adding that the rate of killing has declined after the incident was flashed out by Tehelka.

Manipur Govt.have been continuously praising state forces especially commandos but they are the ones who kill innocent people, said one of the members.Manipur people have been facing issues after another since a long time.

Once the issue of Rabina, Sanjit and ILP is over then the peace talk between Indian State and NSCN (IM) will come as another issue.

Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958 has been removed from Tripura but Manipur Govt.has been hesitating to follow it.

While saying that State bureaucrats have always supported non-locals the members opined on the urgent need of implementation ILP system in the state.
