Imphal, April 23 2025:
The government of India is using Kuki groups under Suspension of Operation (SoO) as proxy army for its geopolitical interests and thereby preventing the conflict from coming to an end, alleged Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) Mobilisation Committee conveyor YK Dhiren.
He made the statement at a public meeting organised by COCOMI Phumlou Branch at Phumlou community hall on Wednesday.
Dhiren continued that if the government truly wanted, they could have resolved the almost two year-long conflict at any given time.
The conflict was caused by India using the Kuki SoO groups as proxy army.
Once they control the proxy army, the issue would end on its own.

However, instead of ending the conflict, different wrongful narratives are being spun.
Thus, a people's convention would be held on May 3 against such tactics, he said and urged the people to attend the conflict.
The meeting was attended by COCOMI Koutruk branch co-conveyor N Ibemcha, COCOMI Consultative Committee members L Jadumani and Somendra Thokchom among others.
On the other hand, COCOMI Sekmai Branch also organised a public meeting at Sekmai Koujeng Leima on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, COCOMI convenor Khuraijam Athouba noted that non-resolution of the conflict is causing the people to become more restless.
However, the government of India is trying to spin the conflict into a whole different narrative.
It is known to the people that the government is using the Myanmar-based Kuki militants as a proxy army.
The acts committed by the Kuki militants are known to the Governor but no action has been taken up till date, he claimed.
Similar meetings were also held at Langthabal Khoupum, Kangla Shangomshang, Top Khongnangkhong and Kamong.
