Imphal, April 23 2019: An emergency meeting of All Manipur Catholic Union (AMCU), held today, has condemned the placing of hand grenade at the main gate of the Little Flower School Imphal.

A press release issued by AMCU president decried the act which posed a serious threat to the life and security of the students, teachers, school authority and the locals.

AMCU appealed all concerned not to repeat such acts in the future.

Maintaining that Catholic Schools have been facing vicious cycle of problems during admissions, it stated that AMCU will stand for Catholic educational institutions.

It warned that AMCU will not remain a silent spectator to any undemocratic act targeting educational institutions and Catholic schools in particular.

It strongly appealed to the State Government and all stakeholders to create a safe atmosphere for schools to function smoothly.
