Kakching, March 20 2019: A notice issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Kakching district informed the public that Kakching District Traffic Police will enhance compounding of motor vehicle offences under MV Act, 2008 to check instances of road mishaps and to ensure road safety during the festival of Yaoshang.

It further informed that a special drive w.e.f.March 21 to Mar 26 will be conducted in Kakching district to check persons violating offences of MV Act, 2008 and the offenders will be fined as per law ranging from Rs 100/- to Rs 5000/- accordingly.

The notification also appealed the residents of Kakching district not to encourage blocking of roads or lanes to take money from the commuters and urged all to stick to the time limits fixed by the office of the DC, Kakching in connection with Thabal Chongba, use of loudspeakers etc, in the district failing which the administration will take legal action against the violators.
