Kakching, January 20 2019: United Kakching Students' (UNIKAS) has organised a State level painting competition titled as "Art is freedom 2019" at Jannuram Community Hall, Kakching Sumak Leikai, today.

The competition was graced by Kakching AC MLA, Surchandra; UNIKAS founder secretary Ksh Surjit, and renowned painter, Naorem Ahaljao as the presidium members.

The competition was held in two categories, students from Class V to VII competed in Group I on the theme "Value of water".

Daulas Lambamayum took the first position; Naorem Raj took the second while Naorem Lisidash finished in third position.

In Group II, students from Class VIII to X competed on the theme "Contemporary Manipur" where Martin Tongbram; Laiphrakpam Rohit and Yengkhom Monisha took the first, second and third position respectively.

Consolation prizes for the participants were also awarded in both the categories.
