Imphal, January 20 2013 : A woman was caught with 14 grams of heroin (banned drugs) from Imphal today.

According to an official source, Mrs Rabia, 35 years, wife of Md Abdul Sammat was nabbed late this morning from Hatta Minuthing in Imphal by the personnel of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) and recovered the drug concealed in an Amla hair oil bottle that was tugged underneath her under-garment.

Officer Incharge of NAB, Inspector R.K Bikramjit said they learnt about the drug pedler coming in the area.

"Our personnel waited at Hatta Minuthong area from 10:30 am and at around 11:10 am, the woman came in a suspicious manner.

We stopped her and frisked her by our NAB lady personnel and found the material tugged underneath her garment," said RK Bikramjit.

The worth of the drug seized was not revealed.

Mrs Rabia hails from Sora Maning Leikai of Kakching in Thoubal distict.

She brought the drug from Moreh to be sold in Imphal market.
