Kwairamband shutdown: four women markets not consulted

Imphal, August 19 2015:
Sinpham Amadi Shaktam Kanba Lup has claimed that the four women markets were not consulted before announcing the 72-hour Khwairamband Keithel shutdown which began last midnight.
On Wednesday, Sinpham Amadi Shaktam Kanba Lup secretary Thangjam Ongbi Ranibala claimed at a press meet at Khwairamband Keithel said that the bandh enforcers did not discuss with Leimarel Shidabi Ema Keithel, Emoinu Ema Keithel, Phanthoibi Ema Keithel and Ema Panthoibi Sana Keithel before the strike was announced.

She sought clarification from all concerned on the 72-hour Kwairamband Keithel shutdown called in support of the ongoing Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) movement.
She said the shutdown has been imposed by street vendors only.
