Imphal, May 19 2025:
In denunciation of alleged inaction by the authorities despite repeated appeals for reducing fees, Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) JNIMS announced that member doctors of the state run medical institute will launch an indefinite strike from May 21 onwards.
According to a statement of RDA, the strike will begin from 9 am with the first 72 hours of the agitation to encompass OPD, activities of wards, routine OT and academic activities like seminar, grand round and classes.
If authorities fail to take positive action within 72 hours, the strike will cover emergency services, the statement, signed by both the president and secretary of association, cautioned.
