COVID-19: Assam Rifles conducts medical camp, generates awareness

Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp to give awareness on COVID-19 at H Mongjang village, Moreh today.
The camp aims to provide medical checkup to villagers and also to disseminate precautionary and curative measures to safeguard against the growing threat of COVID-19, said PRO, IGAR.
A total of 94 adults and 118 children were given medical aid and advise.
The villagers were investigated for deficiency of iron, skin infection, fever, cough and cold.
First aid and minor dressing were also provided to those who needed.
Special emphasis was given on raising awareness about coronavirus and highlighted its causes, symptoms and measures to avoid its spread through informative boards and display of protection kit items.
A lecture on general health, hygiene was conducted and encouraged people to keep the surroundings and self clean and sanitized.
Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted an awareness drive by organising a Walk the Talk on COVID-19 at Lilong Khunou, Janglenphai, Hapijang and Manamjang villages.
The drives aims to disseminate the precautionary and curative measures to safeguard against the growing threat of COVID-19 .
