Cracks developed on foundation before installation of transformer in Chandel

Chandel, July 18 2014 : Alleging that cracks have already developed in a newly constructed foundation for fitting a Transformer at the site of the present 132 kv power sub-station in Chandel, Chandel Naga Peoples' Organisation today demanded replacement of the foundation.

Expressing dissent over the civil engineering works executed by the contractor, general secretary of CNPO LV Robert told media persons today that the defect was detected by a team of CNPO during an inspection.

Unsatisfied with the work, CNPO has drawn the attention of the contractor concerned to rectify the defects at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Chandel District Vigilance Committee and CNPO in separate press statements alleged that the District hospital authority has not been providing diet to patients under Letter of Credit (LOC) in the hospital.

While contacting CMO office for a clarification in this regard, a source informed that a separate contract work is issued at the Directorate level for implementing LOC in the hospital.

Maintaining that the CNPO allegation is true, the source further stated that neither the hospital authority nor the CMO staffs are responsible for non-provision of the diet.

On the other hand, a statement issued by its president BD Betha Anal, while pointing out lack of blood bank, oxygen, telephone landline connection, lack of emergency lights and lack of Suraksha Clinic, has appealed to the authority concerned to provide the services at the earliest in the interest of the general public of Chandel.
