PMGKAY rice to be distributed today

Imphal, April 18 2020: The distribution of rice under PMGKAY scheme for the month of April, 2020 for the Assembly Constituencies of Khundrakpam, Heingang and Yaiskul has been started and continuing.

The distribution of PMGKY rice for Khurai, Keirao, Lamlai and Wangkhei AC's will also be started from tomorrow, April 19 .

The left out eligible beneficiaries will be distributed rice from the OMSS rice procured from MLALAD fund, informed a notice issued by Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East district.

It also stated that, the distribution will take place at the Fair Price Shops of the agents concerned while social distancing is to be strictly maintained.

Revenue, CAF & PD officials and police will assist and co-ordinate for smooth distribution of the rice.

The district administration, Imphal East district has appealed the representatives of MLAs, local clubs, Meira Paibis, NGOs to support the rice distribution.
