AR organised awareness lecture on smoking hazards

Imphal, March 18 2021: Mantripukhri Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a lecture on effects of smoking on Human body at D'regina English School on yesterday.

With the aim to emphasize on "health is wealth" and other risks associated with Smoking and use of tobacco, an interactive session cum discussion was conducted at D'regina English school.

The purpose of this lecture was to generate awareness about the ill effects of smoking among the youths and to guide them to lead a healthy & prosperous life.

Apart from that various actions and measures taken by Government and various NGOs to help people combating tobacco were also mentioned.

The interactive lecture witnessed energetic participation by over 95 students and teachers of the School.

They appreciated the earnest endeavor of the Assam Rifles and requested to carry on the association and conduct of such events in future as well.
