Convention of CPI held

Imphal, January 17 2021:
A convention of the three branches of Communist Party of India (CPI), Kangmong Branch was held at Kangmong Langonjam Farming Hall today.
The convention was presided by comrade Arambam Manglem Singh, a former Pradhan and a veteran of CPI.
Speaking on the occasion, State secretary of CPI L Sotinkumar said that CPI will continue to fight against the corrupt practices of the elite classes.
He reaffirmed their stand with the farmers protesting against the controversial three Farmers' Law and lauded the Supreme Court's intervention in the case.
Member of Nupi Marup Th Sakhi and comrade L Joykumar Luwang also delivered speeches during the convention.
Further the convention demanded that medicines for Covid should be provided for free to the poor and needy.
