Imphal, November 16, 2012: After a series of inter-school events conducted during the current year among the students of Sadar Hills, the first ever joint Children' s Day was celebrated at Brig Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi on November 14 under the aegis of Sadar Hills Pvt Schools' Association (SHIPS).

The celebration programme was graced by Chongpu Kipgen, CEO Sadar Hills ADC; H Rupachandra Singh, ADC, Kpi and Pagin Kipgen as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.

Timothy, HM of Kids Foundation School and Pastor Sehpao Hangshing, KIBC said the invocation and convocation prayers respectively.

The celebration became alive with the presentation of various traditional dances of different communities of the State; solo singing and choreography by the students.

The programme came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony of the literary cum sports meet of SHIPS.

The overall champion award was presented to Ideal English School, Charhajare.
