Lairouching SDO Block celebrates first I-Day

The newly established Lairouching SDO block office for the first time joined the 75th Independence Day celebration by hoisting national flag in the presence of office staff, officials from different departments and people of Lairouching area.
In a brief official programme moderated by RD Helinah, the national flag was hoisted by chief guest A Nelia, sub-deputy collector/executive magistrate, Tadubi, who then saluted the tricolour along with the police contingent led by Abraham, OC Maram Police Station.
SDC A Nelia in her speech paid rich tributes to freedom fighters while appreciating officials from different departments for making the event memorable.
She also thanked OC Abraham, T Kishei, deputy ranger Forest Maram, Dr Anthony, medical officer PHC Maram, Nurse T Rapunga, PHC Lairouching, Adaha, CDPO, Locus, supervisor ICDS Mao-Maram project, PG Chunhiamliu, supervisor ICDS, Mao-Maram project, for their presence at the historic event.
The chief guest also distributed the prizes to the participants.
L Hingba Thomas, convenor Lairouching SDO (Block) Development Committee, urged the state government, district administration and the department concerned to expedite all necessary and pending works such as posting of separate Block Development Officer (BDO) for SDO Lairouching, land donation deed and to construct SDO/SDM, Police Station building and other infrastructure.
T Abraham, on behalf of the Lairouching village, expressed gratitude to A Nelia, SDC/EM, for her love, concern and sacrifice, and for making the event so significant and memorable.
He also thanked the Lairouching SDO office team for their effort to Organise the historic event.
