Imphal, June 16 2021:
The state government on Wednesday allowed resumption of additional activities which were earlier restricted as a part of the efforts to contain spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As per a government order issued Wednesday by chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, office of Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Range-Imphal, located at Old Lambulane will resume operation with strict adherence to Covid SOPs and Covid appropriate behaviour.
Dr Rajesh Kumar, who is also the chairman of State Executive Committee, also allowed activities relating to agriculture and allied sectors with the same advisories that the food farmers and all involved in the sector shall have to follow the safety protocols.
The order also instructed deputy commissioners and police superintendents concerned to take necessary action in implementing the order strictly.
In compliance with the government's order, Bishnupur district magistrate Krishna Kumar issued a separate notification permitting agricultural activities in the district with strict observance of Covid-19 SOP.
It may be mentioned that an order issued on June 11 had allowed airlines and railways booking and operation of bakery apart from opening of wholesale shops.
