Imphal, April 16 2015 : Clubs and some prominent sections of Khongman have demanded removal of the president of the Manipur Students' Federation.

He was alleged to have verbally abused a woman pradhan in connection with the ongoing impasse in UNACCO.

In a press release the Khongman Students' Club is demanding the removal of the president.

Several sections including the shocked and mortified pradhan said that it was regrettable that no respect was shown to the woman elected member.

Besides after a protracted deliberation the public leaders and the representatives of the Orient Club, the Khongman Students' Club and the Social Workers' Congress decided to back out of the reconciliatory role they have been taking all these days.

These clubs and some public leaders have been trying to solve the stand-off.

The release suggested that the Joint Students' Coordination Committee and others should now take over and try to bring about an amicable solution.

There was also a sit in protest with placards demanding immediate solution to the UNACCO impasse.

They demanded removal of the Managing Director of the UNACCO.

It was also clarified that the three clubs had never banned the UNACCO school.

The school authority is also accused of publishing only one side issue in the media.
