Imphal, November 15 2010:
A 140 feet bailey bridge over Luckchao river constructed by the 25 BRTF under project Sewak was dedicated to nation on November 13.The bridge has now connected the villagers of Thanghung Minou, Chalson Tengnoupal, Tibongmol and Betuk villages to Moreh town.
In absence of this bridge people from above villages had to use foreign soil to come to Moreh town specially during monsoon when Luckchao river is in spate.
BRO thanks all CPLs who have worked day and night to complete the task and 31 Assam Rifles and villagers for their moral support in construction of the bridge.
There will be many more roads and bridge construction by BRTF around Moreh which will add to faster socio-economic development of the people of the area.
These development works can be speeded up with kind cooperation of the people of area and allowing BRTF to extract natural available resources without any hindrance.
Work on this 73 Km long road has started during this year and 9.3 Km road has been cut.
