Thoubal, January 15 2020: The birth anniversary of Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Club International was marked with a distribution of rice and sewing machines to several people of Thoubal, today.

Altogether 50 individuals were given 5 kg of rice each while sewing machines were donated to 5 weavers.

The programme organised by Lions Club of Thoubal at Kshetri Sanglen, Thoubal under the theme "One Multiple One Activity" was attended by Lions Clubs International District 322-D Inter Region coordinator, Lion Joy Oinam; Lions Club International District 322-D Zone chairperson, Lion O Jugeshwor; district chairperson, Lion Dr Ksh Manglem and Lions Club of Thoubal president, Lion L Marjitkumar.
