Cross-country bikers in town

Two bikers who have toured 31 countries over a period of nine months reached Imphal today.
Riding BMW bikes, the two bikers namely Debashish Ghosh from Mumbai and Dharmendra Jain from Indore have already travelled 60,000 Kms through 31 countries spread over five continents.
Speaking to The Sangai Express at the Sangai Continental here this evening, Debashish Ghosh said that they set off their journey from Mumbai on June 10 last year.
They said that their journey is aimed at delivering a point to the world that there are enthusiastic bikers in India and they are not lesser than bikers of any other country.
The countries they have covered so far include Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, China, Mongolia, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Spain and Australia.
Debashish said that they are the first Indian bikers to have travelled 60,000 Kms on bikes across 31 countries even though he had toured 14 countries earlier.
Saying that have already spent around Rs one crore in refuelling, fooding and lodging, Debashish said that their notion about encountering difficulties while travelling to Assam, Nagaland and Manipur had turned out to be false.
Debashish Ghosh is around 47 years old and he owns two restaurants at Mumbai.
