The rally was carried out under strict security measures by the district police.
Protestors told media that the Central government should stop its proxy war and central security forces must stop taking side of Kuki militants.
They also accused Central and state government leaders of turning a blind eye to the unrestrained killing of Meetei civilians by Kuki militants while asserting that they, can no longer tolerate such indifferent attitude to people; As the central forces are ho longer capable to protect the people there is no reason for them to remain in the state, they contended.
