Group Centre, CRPF hosts Garba celebration

Imphal, October 12 2024: The Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal hosted a remarkable Garba celebration during the auspicious occasion of Navratri on October 10, 2024 .

According to a release issued by CRPF, the Garba celebration was organised under the aegis of Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, DIGP; Padmashri N Kunjarani Devi, Commandant: Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commandant and Ph Ranibala, Assistant Commandant, Group Centre, CRPF, Imphal.

A large number of people from Imphal City also participated in the festive celebration.

The event was a vibrant blend of cultural expression bringing together Officers, personnel and their families in a festive atmosphere.

The celebration reflected the deep-rooted cultural heritage of India and demonstrated how such traditions can transcend regions, even in places like Manipur, where Garba is not traditionally part of the local festivities.

The Grounds of the CRPF camp were adorned with decorations, lighting and a central area set up for the Garba dance, recreating the joyous atmosphere often seen in other parts of the country where the festival is more popular.
