Imphal, September 12 2019: Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu today held a meeting of the Sangai Festival State Level Organising Committee and reviewed the preparations being made for this year's edition of the annual festival.

The meeting which was attended by Administrative Secretaries of different departments selected Hapta Kangjeibung and Lamboi Khongnangkhong as the main venues of the festival.

The meeting also discussed about setting up 200 stalls at Hapta Kangjeibung and 400 stalls at Lamboi Khongnangkhong.

It further decided not to give permission for organising any function at Hapta Kangjeibung from October 15.As decided at the review meeting, three districts would be clubbed together and each of these clusters of three districts would present their best cultural programmes at the festival, informed a source.
