Dimapur, August 11 2015 : A mob vandalised a woman's house for defending her brother, who is accused of beating a school teacher, on Monday at Takyel Kolom Leikai at around 3 pm.

The woman has been identified as Chingabam Binota (45), w/o Ch Ngouba of Takyel Kolom Leikai.

Locals said that Konsam Lenin s/o Yaima from Takyel Kolom Leikai thrashed an assistant teacher of Maria Montessori, Koirengei on August 7 night.

The teacher has been identified as Oinam Prameshwor (34) .

Mob destroys house

Local meirapaibis went to Lenin's house to settle the matter.

But Lenin's sister Binota, who lives in the same locality, started arguing with the meirapaibis as she defended her brother.

When the meirapaibis asked her to calm down, Binota stripped off herself to show disrespect to them.

A mob immediately destroyed her house and later decided to banish her from the locality.
