Six new cases, 12 recoveries reported

Imphal, April 11 2022:
Monday reported six new positive cases of Covid 19 out of 274 samples tested, registering 2.19 per cent positivity rate, slightly lower than 3.68 per cent recorded on Sunday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120.In the last 24 hours, 12 patients were discharged from home isolation (11) and Covid Care facility (1) .
Number of active cases rose to 38, out of which 15 (39.47 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are-299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,374 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
According to official reports, all the six fresh cases 1 male & 5 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal West (2), Thoubal (2), Kakching (1) and Tengnoupal (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,162 and the recovered cases is at 1,35,004 (general population - 1,29,997 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) while number of active cases is 38 (general population - 38 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 206 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,48,014, out of which 11,88,464 had received second doses and 67,977 had taken precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,203 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,284 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,606 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 274 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 2.19 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.55 per cent.
