Toppers of Don Bosco College Maram feted

Imphal, August 10, 2014: While appreciating Don Bosco College Maram for its outstanding performance of producing 47 toppers in the Manipur University Degree Examination 2014, Maram Students' Union has felicitated the rank holder students during a programme held on Saturday at the premises of the College.

The felicitation programme was graced by Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district as Chief Guest, while leaders of Maram Students Union, Public leaders and Parents of Toppers attended as the special invitees.

A statement of Maram Students' Union informed that in the 2014 Manipur University Degree examination, students of Don Bosco College Maram came out in the top-ten positions in various departments including 8 students each in Education and English subjects, 9 in History; 6 in Economics, 2 in Sociology; 5 in Political Science, 7 in Commerce and one each in Physics and Zoology.

Toppers were awarded with medals, cash incentives and certificates under various awards including Fr.NV.

Jose Sdb, Fr James Memorial award, Fr John Med sdb, Fr Bianchi Peter sdb, Br Shinu Joseph sdb, Dishong memorial, Ng Luikang memorial awards.

The best student of the college in both category of boys and girls were awarded to Namtiirai and Prescilia awards respectively.

Peace lover award was also conferred in the name of Lungnila Elizabeth memorial award.

While congratulating the successful students, the Chief Guest expressed profound thanks to the College management and teachers for bringing out the best students.

It may be mentioned that in 2013, the college was declared fit to receive Central Assistance Section 12 (B) under UGC Act 1956 .
