JNIMS experiences black out

Imphal, February 10 2013 : With frequent blackouts being experienced in JNIMS, patients undergoing treatment in the lone State medical institute as well as doctors on night duty are facing a lot of problems thereby hampering in performing their duties efficiently.

In view of frequent power cut, generators have been provided for back-up.

Still then, most wards of the hospital including the Female Medicine Ward remains in dark literally daily as the bulbs lighting up the ward burnt-out from prolonged use.

A person attending to a patient in the ward informed this reporter that since the female ward experiences black-out on regular basis, it has become a problem for the doctors to come and attend the patients during the night.

At the same time it has become a problem for the attendants of the patients to call the doctors in the middle of the night.

The attendant drew the attention of the authorities concerned for looking into the matter.
