AJSA's Golden Jubilee celebration concludes

Jiribam, February 08 2021: The Golden Jubilee Celebration of All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA) and 21 days U-14 Boys and Girls Hockey Coaching programme concluded today with a function at AJSA's complex in Jiribam.

The closing function was graced by M Brajakanta Singh, president, AJSA; RK Nobinsana, Pradhan Dibong Gram Panchayat; L Veerjeet, associate vice president, Manipur Hockey; N Budhachandra, social worker; H Basulal, Addl SP (L/O), Jiribam District Police as presidium members on the dais.

A souvenir of the association for the year 2020-21 was also released as a part of the function.

Speaking at the occasion, L Veerjeet expressed that, with Hockey India president having visited and inspected the place, a hockey turf will soon be installed at Kadamtala for development of the discipline in the district.

The Hockey India president has a strong belief that Jiribam can surely produce eminent hockey players within a short span, he said while urging all to help fulfill the expectation of the Hockey India president.

A tug of war for women was also organised as a part of the closing function.

Winners of various sporting events held in line with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of AJSA held since February 1, were also feted during the function.
