Nasir, Amin assure help for NB College

Announcing various welfare schemes for the students of the colleges, Agriculture Minister Md Nasir and and Parliamentary Secretary in charge of MOBC and Science & Technology Md Amin Shah have assured to extend every possible assistance for the development of Naorem Birahari (NB) College located at Khundrakpam today.
Attending the 28th foundation day celebration of the College held at its campus today as Chief Guest, Minister Md Nasir announced to provide Rs.3lakh as financial support during 2013-14 fiscal year apart from assuring every possible helps for the betterment of the college and people of Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency.
The Minister, who also inaugurated a girls' hotel for the college on the occasion, said that Manipur does not belongs to a single community but to all the different ethnic groups living in it.
Development of the State is in the hands of its people and so they should do away with the culture of demanding liquor, drugs and money during election so that leaders and representatives can work sincerely.
Addressing at the gathering as the Guests of Honour, Md Amin Shah assured to construct 2-3 class rooms for the college under MOBC scheme and to provide solar emergency lamps for hostellers as well as scholarships for students.
Moreover, the Parliamentary Secretary asked the college authority to approach him for any sort of assistance for the development of the lone private college in Khundrakpam A/C.Emphasizing the need for education in the process of social development, Manipur Legislative Assembly's Speaker, Th Lokeshwar Singh, who presided over the function, exhorted the students to foster and instill the spirit of unity and oneness among themselves.
Lokeshwar also appealed the people of Khundrakpam AC to make the constituency a model of development and unity in Manipur.
On the occasion, college authority distributed meritorious awards and cash prizes to students of the college who excelled in different fields including university examinations, sports, arts and culture, etc.
