RNSOM also cautioned that failure to address the recent surge in violence could lead to unprecedented consequences, declared zero tolerance for violence and unwavering stance on ensuring justice for the victims.
Strongly condemning the abduction and assault case, RNYOM said: "This egregious act constitutes a grave human rights violation, imperilling the dignity and safety of Naga people" .
RNYOM demanded that the culprits be booked and penalised under the law of the land within 48 hours with effect from November 7 noon, failing which democratic forms of agitation including bandh on NH-37 and stoppage of all construction works of national projects within its area of jurisdiction would be launched in collaboration with like-minded civil society organisations and public till the demand is fulfilled.
It also demanded end to all acts of violence, and advised AT 'extremists' to abstain from violent activities.
The organisation also demanded justice for Joshua Kamei at the earliest.
