CCpur, April 07 2019:
The lifeless body of Tualkhanlian, a resident of Mata village whose body was found tonsured and slit on February 14 and was since kept at the hospital mortuary have been buried yesterday at his village.
The family had refused to claim the body then, saying they will not do so until and unless the culprits of the gruesome crime are arrested or booked.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed to take up the case have even flouted the prohibitory orders clamped by the DEO ever since the parliamentary election was announced and the model code of conduct was enforced to pressurize the Govt of their demands but nothing concrete transpired till date.
The decision to bury the victim nearly two months after his body was recovered appears to have been taken after the people at the forefront of the case comprehend to the fact that there is not much to expect from the Govt either on arresting the culprits or in granting compensation.
The YPA GHQ has, however, called for donations from its units and branches to help the family.
